Day 2, and we're dollars away from halfway funded as I write this! My mind is blown! There are some amazing people out there, and you are definitely one of them.

Other good news: we're one of Kickstarter's PROJECTS WE LOVE, and that puts SECTION ZERO 1959 in front of a lot more people. Which is something I want, and from the way you're acting I think you want it , too. So: Thank You, Kickstarter, for making SZ59 a PROJECT WE LOVE.

Speaking of love: tomorrow, February 14th, is a little holiday called VALENTINE'S DAY, when people exchange flowers and candy and cards with others that mean the most to them as an expression of their love and gratitude. You may have heard of it.

Now, I can't give you flowers or candy— and my love fully and deeply belongs to a wonderful woman named Myrna and a few small children asleep upstairs— but I am extremely grateful to you, and would like to give you a few SECTION ZERO 1959 VALENTINE'S DAY CARDS…

I'm not sure if you can grab these images from this update— but if you can, and want to share these with your Valentines— please do! I'll be posting them on Facebook and Twitter come Valentine's morning, and I would like nothing better than to see their messages of deep and somewhat unsettling love shared and spread all across social media.

What Kind of Day Has it Been…?

Pretty. Damn. Amazing.

That's what kind of day it has been.

My screen shows me that you— and about 400 people like you— helped raise over $24,000 towards our SECTION ZERO 1959 goal today.

Wow.

It was thrilling to see so many returning names from the first SECTION ZERO campaign. And exciting to see so many names I'd never seen before. And humbling to see so many names so quickly.

I posted the following graphic right before I sat down to dinner tonight, and while the number is already out of date, the sentiment hasn't changed…

Which— in this case, at least— means thank you.

Still a long way to go. I know today's excitement will die down soon, and we'll be in for the slow climb to our goal. And, with luck, some nice stretch goals beyond that. We keep getting the word out, we can do it.

In the meantime: remember that the entire "I HUNT MONSTERS!" story is in Update #1. Go give it a read. You deserve it.

Also: In case you hadn't heard, at $12,000 I added something to the Mysterious Bag of Special Edition Swag: a Kickstarter Exclusive Signed Bookplate for the SECTION ZERO Sketchbook! I'll have a graphic posted for it early tomorrow. And now that we've hit $24,000, I'll be adding...

Nah. I gotta give you a reason to come back tomorrow, right?
